I can't believe you would even ask me that filthy Gerudo rat.
Oh, you aren't wrong to think that Nabooru was once in the picture, but she was never an obstacle. Let me tell you the truth about what happened.
I give praise when praise is earned, and the "exalted" Nabooru earned hers for flattery and seduction. If anyone could woo a man simply by batting her eyelashes and whispering the right words, it was her. I never considered her beauty to be that exotic, but she was alluring and used her assets well. This was how she kept Ganondorf occupied, and how she earned her place as second-in-command. If there was ever a time he seemed almost wise to her act, she just hissed like a snake in his ear and they disappeared to his chambers.
Nabooru also began rumors about herself, such as being with child, and that the king had proposed. A lot of Gerudo believed her. I just laughed in her face, because I knew her dark truth. All the while she fooled those loyal to Ganondorf, she had a posse of followers ready to betray him. It was true what she said, that she despised the way he ordered us to steal from women and children, and even kill people. Big surprise.
It wasn't until I started reporting Nabooru's traitorous acts that he began to realize how blinded he had been. That's what he led me to believe, anyway. I met with him in secret, several times (I'm Gerudo, I'm stubborn), and it was not an easy task to make him listen to reason while he wasn't thinking with his brain. I was determined to convince him that Nabooru manipulated him and the Gerudo, and turned more of them against him. Most of all, I feared that she would try to slay him in his sleep like a coward. Eventually, he ordered me to report her actions to him daily.
Well, it was through this that we really bonded, despite our interactions over the years before this. We even began planning the destruction of Hyrule, which would take place once he invaded the Sacred Realm. I could tell that throughout the course of our meetings he had grown attached to me. There was a spark, a common interest, a connection much deeper than the physical pleasure he shared with that harlot.
How did it all turn out? Well, let's just say...
...revenge is a dish best served cold.
Hehe.
