This story, written as a narrative, is the first in a series of events that begin during what you know as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Before the Calamity, before Ganondorf's descent into darkness, I was widely feared. As time moved on, and Ganon gained infamy, my tale was lost. Read this, and you'll see how I, the Queen of Evil, actually saved the land of Hyrule, by restoring the King of Evil and defeating the demon that consumed his soul.

Not all stories have pleasant endings, especially mine. Once in a while, I'm able to celebrate a happily ever after. After defeating the beast in Ganon's Demise, and subsequently saving the kingdom I dreamed to one day conquer, I was determined to strike back viciously. While trapped, I learned some new powers that could tilt the odds in my favor. The return of the King and Queen of Evil brought war, but also a tearful reunion. The decimation of my enemies was calculated and swift. At long last, Ganondorf dominated Hyrule and the reign of the Dragmire royal family began.
As we know, darkness cannot be found without light. During the reign of the evil family, the Sheikah tribe posed a persistent threat. The Yiga, sworn to serve Ganondorf, continuously thwarted our enemies, even when the news of the hero's rebirth surfaced. The Sheikah were eager to swoop in and claim him as their own, but Ganondorf much preferred to eliminate the threat before he could learn to walk. He was shocked when I returned home from this mission, carrying the infant in my arms. I was surprised when he agreed that I could adopt him, after giving the idea much thought. This is the story of Volga, my adopted son, and my duty as the Queen of Evil.

The Great King of Evil commands the power of the Triforce and together we control the land of Hyrule. History is a constant cycle, and I've learned that this way of life is just a dream and will eventually be challenged. By adopting the chosen hero I heavily influenced in his fate. With no one remaining to combat the darkness, the last of the Sheikah begged a goddess statue for divine intervention, and his prayer was answered. Divine Beasts, Guardians, and an unexpected foe emerge to once more steal what is rightfully mine and the claim that which Ganondorf is entitled. Hyrule prepares for war to defend her king and queen, but no one was prepared for the outcome.

Many tales are told of how Ganondorf came to possess the Triforce, but rarely have I heard anyone speak about the time we infiltrated the Sacred Realm without the help of the hero. This story is a different encounter with the young Link, one which he did not survive. All of the keys to open the Door of Time were provided to us, leaving the Master Sword as the final lock to the Sacred Realm. With a bit of dark sorcery, I wrested the sword from its pedestal so that my king could claim the Triforce, except I was not present for his victory. The Master Sword sealed me away in another realm for fifty years to repair the damage Ganondorf's magic had done. Suddenly I was the hero everyone needed, but my only goal was to reunite with my king.
