If you believed, or fooled yourself into believing, I would never hear from Nabooru again, you really don't know anything. Not even two full days passed before I saw her face again. It was pretty frightening for me at first, and then it was absolutely hilarious.
I was mysteriously summoned by a guard to a room in the Gerudo fortress that was comparable to a castle's throne room. It was the biggest room, built deep within the fortress for the best protection, complete with enough fire for light and warmth, and a stone chair for a throne. I closed the door and casually walked toward Ganondorf, who sat regally on his throne, with enough power to make my knees weak. I hesitated in the center of the room. The problem was, Nabooru stood right beside him with her hand resting on his shoulder, and a grin twisting her sick face. I clenched my fist to stop from smashing her teeth, and bit my tongue to stop from saying anything that might get me in trouble. I kept my eyes locked on Ganondorf's face as I lowered to one knee. I bowed my head and waited.
There were moments of silence following my show of respect, and in that time I thought about their expressions. Nabooru was obviously pleased with herself, and that could only have meant she had made good on her word to convince Ganondorf that he should remove my title. I didn't want to imagine what she endured to achieve that. However, the look on Ganondorf's face was not arrogant, but contemplative, as if he was making the most important decision of his life. "You summoned me, your majesty? How may I serve you?" I asked as confidently as possible to mask my fear at what words would come from his mouth.
"Tell her, Ganondorf," Nabooru urged. There was no sound after that, and when I glanced up she was whispering like a filthy snake in his hear.
Ganondorf stood from his throne and approached me slowly. I watched only his boots, which finally stopped right in front of me, inches from my knee. He commanded me to rise in that deep, dominant voice, and I felt a jolt through my chest. I did as he ordered. At first, when I looked up I saw his broad chest, and then I lifted my head higher and found his eyes pierced me. They were filled with resolve, but that melted away to something new, something he fought to hide. I have no way of truly knowing what was reflected in his eyes, or what type of reaction he experienced, because his face was a serious, yet handsome, expression of carved stone. I felt this charge between us though, like lightning about to strike, this strange, unexplained power. My heart raced, and I felt out of breath. These chills chased through my nerves and made me tingle, until I felt the fluttering of soft wings fill my belly. I was afraid of passing out before he finally said what he needed to say.
"Tomorrow I am to meet with the King of Hyrule to swear my allegiance, under the guise for the desire of peace. You will accompany me," he ordered.
Nabooru shrieked, "What?" At this point we both ignored her. I clung to his every word.
"We will form a plan to infiltrate the castle, slaughter the royal family, and collect the items we need to penetrate the Sacred Realm so that I can claim the Triforce."
Strength returned to my body and I wanted to rejoice. I proudly proclaimed, "It would be my pleasure."
Oh, Nabooru's shock was priceless! That's coming up next.
