Humiliation

"You look confused," Ganondorf mocked, once again calm. "Let me put it more plainly. I allowed you to think, in your simple mind, that you had control of me, while I only kept you close to monitor your every move."

"B-but, Ganondorf, I didn't... You must believe that I want what is best for the Gerudo. I never meant for it to get this far out of control, but she kept sticking her nose where it didn't belong."

"The Gerudo are fortunate that Ganondora is stronger than you will ever be."

"As much as I love that you keep bringing me into this conversation, this is about you," I pointed at Nabooru, and stepped up to Ganondorf's side as proof that I wouldn't be backing down to her again.

"After all we had together," she said, and left it at that. "Maybe you've convinced yourself it was just a game, but your moans said otherwise. You can't get rid of me forever. You'll come back to me again."

If only I had known then what we learned later, I would have ended her life just to save us the headache.

"You disgust me," he said and scowled down at her. "You were so deluded by the fantasy I fed you, that you didn't recognize reality when it stared you in the face. Before I deliver your punishment, I'll let your subordinates tell us a few of your crimes."

Suddenly, the two redead like Gerudo began talking, in turn, their voices empty of any emotion. Some of what they said I already knew, but some of it was just indicting.

"We planned to kill Ganondorf in front of the King of Hyrule, instead of following Dora's plan, so that we could swear allegiance to the Hylians."

"We were ordered to kill Dora, so that she couldn't protect him."

At first, I wondered why he didn't just make her say all those things, but Nabooru's reaction was hilarious. Her jaw dropped, and their accusations left her speechless at first. She told them to stop, to shut up, but they kept going relentlessly. Her face was filled with fear, and then panic, so apparently the best was yet to come.

"She spoke of a legendary hero of courage that has killed evil that threatened Hyrule in the past. We know that he will return to fight that evil again, so that our land won't be cursed anymore. She said it was Ganondorf's fault that the Hylians won't trade with us, because they're too afraid of him."

All throughout these confessions were gasps and other expressions of disbelief from the gathered audience. Everyone would finally know what Nabooru had plotted.

"She plans to steal the treasure in the Spirit Temple to fight Ganondorf and his followers."

"She wants to turn over anyone that refuses to follow her to the King of Hyrule to have them executed."

Cries of rage from the gathered crowd drowned out the next few statements. They had every right to be angry at a woman who would willing forfeit her own people to the enemy for them to be killed. The yelling for her immediate torture and death was only quelled by Ganondorf's hand. The accusations continued.

"We tried to talk Nabooru into killing Ganondorf in his sleep, but she never did. She said the Gerudo had to believe she was the queen first so she could turn more of them to her side."

Oh, this one was the best of all. "Nabooru is jealous of the special treatment given to Dora, and said she didn't deserve any of it because she is weak, lacks any power, is worthless, and the worst Gerudo ever born."

"She did everything she could to prevent Dora from rising through the ranks, made her stay on night shift as a guard, convinced her mentors she was useless so they wouldn't train her and treated her poorly."

"She told us Dora's raids were so successful because she seduced and slept with all of the men involved before the day of the raid, so they would just hand everything over to her and stay silent."

My sword was in my hand, and I stepped to pounce on Nabooru so that I could rip her face apart. Ganondorf's stern voice stopped me. "Dora."

"I never said that," Nabooru said fearfully, and stared at me while I glared at her.

"These mindless Gerudo are incapable of lying," he reminded her. "They can only do as I command."

"Ganondorf, you know I didn't, I never..." I stammered, not wanting him to think I was already ruined.

"I trust you," was all he said, so I smiled.

I turned back to Nabooru and yelled, "I guess I should thank you, because if it wasn't for your attempt to completely sabotage me, I wouldn't be where I am today."

"You're not welcome," she replied.

Ganondorf waved his hand and the Gerudo fell silent. He spoke boldly and with dominance. "You have one chance to redeem yourself." He snapped his fingers, and the two mindless women marched forward silently to stand in front of him, like a wall between us and Nabooru. The others crowded around us, watching intently. "If you truly wish to prove your fealty, you will slay those that disobeyed and failed to kill Dora. You will take the lives of those who are against the great Gerudo king, and have chosen not to follow our path to glory." He stepped back to wait for her to make her move.

It was finally my turn.
